Before you ask
The things
people ask.
Mostly the questions that come up on WhatsApp before someone books. If yours isn’t here, just ask. We answer every message ourselves.
Workshops
Do I need any painting experience?
None at all. Coffee with Canvas is built for first-timers. It’s a guided session, the tables are small, and most people who come have never painted before. Nobody is watching to see if you’re good at it.
What’s included?
All materials, a guided canvas session, and a good cup of coffee. You bring nothing but yourself.
Can I come alone?
Plenty of people do. The tables are deliberately small and intimate, so coming on your own is easy, and you won’t be the only one.
When is the next session?
Dates open in small batches. Join the waitlist and you’ll be told first when the next one is announced.
Wearable art & commissions
Is everything really painted by hand?
Yes. Every motif, by Madhvi. Nothing here is a print. That’s also why no two pieces are ever quite identical, and why small variations are part of the thing rather than a flaw.
How much does a piece cost?
It depends on the garment, the fabric, and how much painting it takes, so there’s no fixed price list. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll come back with a price before any painting begins. No surprises later.
How long does a commission take?
Every piece is painted by one pair of hands, so it depends on what’s already on the table. We’ll confirm a timeline along with the concept, before we start.
What can I change?
More than most people expect. Fabric and colour, sleeve and kurta length, neckline, fit, the florals themselves, your initials, a matching dupatta, or coordinated outfits for the whole family.
How does a commission actually work?
You send us the idea: a motif, a memory, a colour story, a photograph. Madhvi reads every request personally and comes back with a concept and a price. Painting only starts once you’ve said yes to both.
The studio
Can I hire the studio?
Yes. It’s a real working studio, not a rental set. Long work tables, a quiet room and a working kitchen. Available by the hour or for a group, with kitchen access included. People use it for workshops, pop-ups, exhibitions, kitty parties and small celebrations.
Where are you, and when are you open?
Sector 16, Faridabad, Haryana. Open Monday to Saturday, 11 am to 7 pm.
The studio runs on appointments so every visit gets proper attention, so message before you come.
Didn’t find it? Ask on WhatsApp or email mgscraftvilla@gmail.com. Madhvi replies personally.
